Leading Edge Aviation has the use of 2 flight simulators owned by Central Oregon Community College. The simulators are Precise Flight Controls CAT IV Advanced Aviation Training Devices. One is configured with the traditional “Six-pack” set of flight instruments and the other has the Garmin G1000 flight deck configuration. These simulators are great for practicing instrument flying, procedure training, and training for emergency situations. There are a number of single and multi-engine aircraft that can be simulated. Some simulator training can be used to meet flight training requirements under CFR parts 61 and 141.
COCC pilots in training have simulator hours included in their flight labs. Non-COCC pilots can rent the simulators at $75 per hour. Price includes instructor.
