Nelson Carrick

FBO Manager, Jet Center



Nelson comes to Leading Edge with a background in FBO and airport development, business development, large scale FBO development, aircraft management, and aviation asset management.

Previous to his position as general manager of the Jet Center, Nelson worked at McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California, servicing aircraft. His passion for aircraft led to a life of entrepreneurship with the founding of Shimoda Aircraft, a detailing and painting service, and then on to become a consultant and project manager at the Palomar Airport Center FBO. Nelson was instrumental in the creation of Premier Jet (later acquired by Atlantic Aviation), and served as the Director of Operations for several years before relocating to Central Oregon.

Nelson’s other passions include dogs, hiking, mountain and forest views, Sisters, Oregon, and recreational shooting. He also once wrote for magazines and is currently working on a children’s book and an anecdotes book.
